A resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow Ecoplast [ https://en.ecopoliscorp.com/ ]  has launched a line for the production of finished products from polymer waste, which is used in the housing and communal services sector. This was announced by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The resident of the special economic zone of Moscow, Eсoplast plant, launched a new line for the production of finished products from polymer waste and produced the first batch of tiles to protect electrical cables laid in the ground. The volume of investments made in the company's project for high-tech processing in the territory of  SEZ exceeded 886 million rubles, about 40 jobs were created at the enterprise,” said Alexander Prokhorov. The new production of polymer-pressed products (PPI) is 100% waste-free. The raw materials for it are the production waste of the enterprise, finished products that do not pass quality control are crushed and re-sent for processing. PPI serve as an alternative to brick when laying electrical cables and can significantly reduce logistics costs and increase the productivity of installers. If a ton of bricks can cover 35 meters of cable, then a ton of tiles can cover about 320 meters. Also, their use can reduce the carbon footprint of transportation and equipment during unloading. In the future, the company plans to produce drainage trays for low-rise and high-rise construction using this waste-free technology. Eсoplast became a resident of the Moscow SEZ in 2019. It occupies more than 5 thousand square meters at Pechatniki site. Modern infrastructure and the benefits of being a SEZ resident have contributed to a 30 percent increase in plastics recycling in 2021 compared to the previous year. The company is also working on expanding the product line, it has created a "closed cycle" of manufacturing products using industrial waste as raw materials. Within its framework, a new production line was installed, the productivity of which is about 1,500 units per day,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Ecoplast processing plant for case plastics from electronics and household appliances is part of the only electronic and electrical equipment waste recycling complex in Russia, managed by Ecopolis Corporation. The main products of the enterprise are recycled plastic pellets, which serve as secondary raw materials for the production of plastic products. "At the processing complex of Ecopolis Corporation, a closed-cycle economic model has been implemented, from the extraction of secondary plastics from processed machinery to the manufacture of finished products from them. This initiative allowed us to produce marketable products from those polymer fractions that were not previously used for this purpose," said Alexey Korolev, Executive Director of  Ecoplast LLC. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
