Moscow manufacturer of 3D scanners develops three new export destinations in 2020

In 2020, the Texel company from the special economic zone of Moscow involved in scanning technologies for various applications, opened three new international directions as informed by Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “For the first time, the company's scanners from the Moscow SEZ have been delivered to Spain, the USA and South Korea. In total, a member of the Moscow SEZ technology community operates in 27 countries. Over the past year, the company increased its turnover by one and a half times, and the share of exports in total revenue exceeded 50%”, pointed out Gennady Degtev. Texel has developed a technology for scanning a person and creating an accurate three-dimensional model, which has found application in many industries. In Spain, the hardware and software were purchased by an entertainment company that prints figurines of scanned customers as souvenirs. In South Korea, the scanner is used for scientific anthropometric research, teaching students digital design. In the United States, the scanner is used to personalize a VR gaming experience, where the scanned person, for example, can play for a football team. The manufacturer of scanners and software also uses its technical solutions in joint projects with global fashion retail companies, creating a “virtual fitting room” service. Possessing the technology of human scanning, the company of the special economic zone of Moscow came up with an initiative to clarify the dimensional parameters of Russians in the interests of the domestic light industry. The idea of anthropometric research was born from understanding the challenges of the modern mass fashion industry clarifies Maxim Fedyukov, CEO of Texel. “The basis for the industrial production of clothing is the dimensional characteristics of typical figures. All over the world, the dimensional typology is revised every 15 years, since during this period, as a result of acceleration process, the size, proportions and shape of a human body change. The latest full-fledged anthropometric research was carried out in the country in 1986. The lack of up-to-date data in the light industry leads to significant production losses and unsatisfied demand from consumers - things often "do not fit," are not sold out and are forced to be recycled”, pointed out Maxim Fedyukov. The company is convinced that a new anthropometric study of the population using modern 3D scanning technologies will replace outdated scientific and technical documentation on the construction of patterns for household, sports, departmental, special and uniforms. As a result, the Russian light industry will become more competitive and efficient.  ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
