More than 900 thousand masks daily roll off the assembly line of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ

900 thousand medical masks and respirators per day are produced on the territory of special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. Medical units are supplied to medical centers under the Healthcare Department of the City of Moscow, as declared by Vladimir Efimov, Chairman of the Crisis center for economy, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations. “The launch of a standalone production of masks within the borders of the city in the context of COVID-19 outbreak was a crucial task solved in the shortest possible time. In one of the premises of special economic zone Technopolis Moscow eleven production lines have been organized to produce masks as well as filter and light respirators of FFP2 protection level. The conveyor works 24/7 in four shifts rolling off 900 thousand medical units. By the end of the year the output of personal protective means is expected to be increased four times reaching 4 million units per day”, Vice-Mayor said.  184 people are work for the enterprise, informed Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of the City of Moscow.  “The employees have practically moved to the manufacturing site with the accommodation and meals provided for them. People do not leave the clean zone and yet undergo COVID-19 tests. This makes the production on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow reliable. The growth of the production leads to a larger number of employees as well up to 220 people in the nearest future and 350 people by the end of summer”, added Alexander Prokhorov. It took less than two weeks to start the high-tech production of the protective masks in Moscow. And in two months the production capacity was tripled, said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.  “Special economic zone Technopolis Moscow has allotted five thousand square meters for the production of personal protective means. The work was properly organized. Besides we have managed to purchase six production lines from the only manufacturer of the equipment for masks and respirators production in Europe. French partners equip the lines according to the Russian standards and requirements. The production capacity of such equipment is twice higher than other lines on the market have.
