MORE THAN 650 COMPANIES BOUGHT METAL-CUTTING TOOLS BY RESIDENT OF THE SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW

More than 650 enterprises use metal-cutting tools made in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. This was reported by Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of Moscow. "One of the residents of the Moscow SEZ has localized the production of metal-cutting tools on the Pechatniki site since 2019, investing more than 40 million rubles in it. Using the economic preferences of the resident status and the convenience of the special economic zone, the company is increasing the volume and geography of supplies. By the middle of 2022 the number of its customers has exceeded 650 companies from various industries where turning or milling is present," said Vladislav Ovchinsky. Microbor is one of the residents. It produces metal-cutting tools with wear-resistant coatings that are noninferior to the world analogues in their characteristics. Its main applicants are automotive and machine-building enterprises, as well as metallurgical and oil and gas industries. The company is working on its own technology for the production of new grades of composite materials and tool coatings. "In 2022 Mikrobor's product range expanded into several new areas: the production of grooving and cutting tools as well as an eco-line for axial tools was launched. Due to the optimization of production processes, unification of nomenclature, and increase in serial production, the company managed to reduce the cost of a new series of axial tools. In this case, the resident covers the needs of Russian factories. In the first half of 2022 it has already fulfilled the last year's plan, having shipped about 700 shipments of goods," - said CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev.
