Four of the five sites of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow - Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET and Angstrem - are located in Zelenograd. At the moment there are more than 60 enterprises, which employ over seven thousand people. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov. Among the companies of the capital's special economic zone, located in Zelenograd, 43 have the status of a resident, which allows to receive tax benefits and direct the saved funds to development. Every year the number of such enterprises grows, and the operating production expands. As a result, the number of jobs at these sites is also increasing. If now there are more than seven thousand, by 2027 it is planned to increase the figure to 14 thousand, told Vladimir Yefimov. Operating on Zelenograd sites of SEZ Technopolis Moscow enterprises develop energy-efficient and medical technologies, and also produce microelectronics, medicines and equipment for various industries. Zelenograd companies of the capital's special economic zone are developing intensively. For example, the Mikron plant is now scaling up: its new building is being built at the Angstrem site. In 2022 the creation of the first building of the Electronics Innovation Center, which will house the production of electronic modules and radioelectronic equipment, was completed at the MIET site. The second building is planned to be commissioned this year. At the largest site - Alabushevo - a technopark and laboratory buildings are now being built, which can be rented for production, said the head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky. The resident status of SEZ Technopolis Moscow allows companies to receive significant benefits. Such enterprises are for 10 years exempt from property, transport and land taxes. The rate of profits tax for them is only two per cent. Benefits are also available for the lease of land allocated for the construction of the enterprise, and upon its completion there is an opportunity to buy the land for one percent of the cadastral value. In addition, the SEZ Technopolis Moscow has a free customs zone regime. The status of a resident of a special economic zone allows companies to receive significant preferences. Such organizations are exempt from paying property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The profit tax rate for them is two percent.
