Companies of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow, supplying their products for the space industry, have received more than 100 patents for inventions and utility models as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “About 15 high-tech enterprises of 180 operating in the capital's special economic zone supply their developments for the space industry. These companies have registered over 100 patents and utility models. The most extensive range of inventions belongs to the enterprises of Zelenograd sites, which are the founders of the space microelectronics area of and continue to supply the industry with their developments”, said the Vice-Mayor. Thus, the Angstrem company produces microcircuits that are resistant to the environment, without which it is impossible to launch a single Russian satellite. The enterprise has six patents for invention and one know-how in its “fleet”. “Mikron has the largest number of patents among the companies of the special economic zone. The microchips of the SEZ resident are supplied to one of the leading rocket and space enterprises in Russia. The company has about 50 patents. Also, over 30 patents belong the Elvis Research and Production Center, which received the status of a SEZ resident in December last year. Its microcircuits maintain the work of onboard aerospace equipment”, pointed out Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Advanced products for the space industry are also created in the Electroninvest group of companies, which has four patents for a utility model, added Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “For example radiation-resistant power supplies are produced here, which are supplied to all enterprises of the rocket and space industry. Also, a number of enterprises of the military-industrial complex are engaged in space area. Thus, Proton Plant has a license to carry out space activities and a number of developments protected by copyright”, he said. The site of the capital's SEZ in Pechatniki is also involved in the space industry. The Butis company, with four patents for invention and utility model, creates, in particular, radio frequency filters for astronauts' headsets. In general, the company's products are used to equip various satellite communication systems, personal and automobile radio stations for police, dispatchers, military, guidance systems and security devices. The high-tech industries of the capital's SEZ strive to expand the use of their technical solutions. A number of innovative companies are not yet included in the space product chain, but are showing interest in this area. So, for example, Laboratory of Microdevices received a license in February to carry out space activities. It can manufacture components of instruments for control, navigation, measurement, control, testing as part of spacecraft.
