The resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow the company "Nanotechnology Center of Composites" produces composite products for different industries: construction, mechanical engineering, energy, aviation. For 10 years more than 100 Moscow central heat points (CHP) of PJSC MOEK have been repaired with the help of its production composite materials. One of the well-known developments of the company is the system of external reinforcement (SFA) on the basis of carbon fibres. It allows using carbon fibre-based composite materials to restore the bearing capacity and increase the durability of reinforced concrete structures. By the end of 2022, the capital's manufacturer has delivered about 150 kilometres of carbon fibre tapes of various denominations to customers across the country. Today, the company's external reinforcement system is used for the reconstruction of socially significant and other facilities across the country. In particular, the material is actively used for repair and restoration of reinforced concrete structures of Moscow central heating stations. Since 2012, more than 100 central heating substations in the city have been reinforced with this material, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of Moscow's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. In 2022, central heating substations belonging to MOEK's branch No. 2 were renovated using CBA. Plans for 2023 include reconstruction of more than 10 more district heating substations in the company's circuit. A central heating unit is a single technological complex of equipment located in a separate room, which provides heating and hot water supply to neighbourhoods, individual settlements, a group of buildings or a single building, and industrial enterprises. The reconstruction material looks like a black cloth. It is now being actively used to reinforce buildings and bridges, so as not to demolish an object that may deteriorate over the years, for example due to corrosion of the fittings due to aggressive environmental influences. In fact, we are replacing deteriorated internal reinforcement with external reinforcement made of carbon fibre-based materials by sticking them onto the reinforced concrete structure. This system restores the load-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete structures. Reinforcement with this material practically does not increase the load on the repaired structures and does not change their aesthetic state, as, for example, in the case of reinforcement with metal, when the space inside the room is significantly reduced, - said Eugene Rafailov, Head of Sales Department of Nanotechnology Center Composites. Application of CBA allows to carry out works without involvement of heavy machinery and welding works, which is critical in the conditions of works in the limited space of the CHP. All work is carried out with the equipment running - without interrupting the technological process or putting the facilities out of service. Last January, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary. In 2017, the company received the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, which allows for significant benefits. The organisation is exempt from property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The profit tax rate for it is just two per cent.
