MIET opened a training evaluation center for the electronic industry

An interdepartmental examination center (IIET) of independent assessment of specialists training quality for employment at the enterprises of electronic industry of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow opened in National Research University MIET. This was reported by Vladislav Ovchinsky, the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital. "The microelectronics cluster of the capital's special economic zone (SEZ) has more than 30 companies, which produce more than 50 percent of all products manufactured on the territory of the SEZ. Manufacturers of microchips, artificial intelligence-based security systems, chips, semiconductor devices, and digital tags need highly qualified specialists with knowledge of current industry trends and current competencies. The interdepartmental examination center will allow determining the level of knowledge of the university graduates and adjusting educational programs, focusing on the needs of employers," Vladislav Ovchinsky noted. Students who pass the exam at the center will receive a certificate with information entered into the register of independent qualification evaluation (IEC), which will provide a competitive advantage for employment. According to General Director of Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev, in April IET MIET was certified as an examination platform for 12 types of professional activities in the field of micro and nanoelectronics, telecommunications and communication. MIET, the Council on professional qualifications in the field of nanotechnology and microelectronics, the Council on professional qualifications in the field of telecommunications, postal communications and radio engineering, the Association of Universities, as well as residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow - Research Institute of Molecular Electronics (NIIME) and JSC Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center took part in organizing the new structure. As part of the work of the examination center, professional standards and industry requirements for the qualification level of young engineers will be introduced into the MIET education system. "Our main goals are the employment of graduates, self-testing of knowledge, skills and qualification level, creation of competitive educational programs and covering personnel shortages in the labor market.
