Resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow, the largest Russian manufacturer and exporter of microelectronics for the first six months of participation in the national project Labor Productivity has accelerated the production of export products by 30% due to the tools of lean production with the support of experts of the Federal Center of Competences (FCC). This was reported in the press service of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital. Micron Company joined the federal project Targeted support of labor productivity at enterprises of the national project Labor Productivity and Employment Support in August 2022. With the help of lean manufacturing tools, the company optimized the production process without additional costs. "As part of the optimization, the company adjusted areas of responsibility, interaction of functional employees, regulated breaks, formed competency matrices of specialists, developed 15 standard operating procedures, updated the category management methodology, as well as reorganized workplaces and introduced additional motivation of employees. The lean production methods practiced at the pilot stream will be replicated at the rest of the enterprise's technological processes. This will allow the company to save more than 50 million rubles during a year of participation in the project and use it for the development of microelectronics production," said Gennady Dyogtev, General Director of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. As a pilot project for the implementation of lean manufacturing tools, the company chose the photolithography section of 150-millimeter wafers - one of the key stages of semiconductor production, which determines the precise formation of elements and the quality of products, including those intended for export. The company analyzed seven types of production losses and optimized the process. As a result, wafer production accelerated by 30%, work-in-progress decreased by 12.5%, monthly employee output increased by almost 13%, and equipment changeover time was reduced by 30 minutes to 2 hours per day. To achieve these results, the company carefully rationalized all business processes at the 150 mm wafer photolithography area. Implementation of the national project Labor Productivity allows participants to significantly save resources and improve technologies, which provides additional growth in production volumes and increases the competitiveness of the company. "The demand for microelectronics is growing, and our company is interested in tools to improve labor productivity to maximize the supply of orders. Thanks to the implemented measures, the economic effect at the first stage amounted to more than 25 million rubles. 22 employees of the enterprise were trained in eight areas of lean production, two of them received certificates of internal trainer and are already successfully applying the acquired skills for retraining of personnel", - said Vera Levchenko, Head of Management Systems Development Department of Quality Management Directorate of the enterprise, Program Manager of the project. Moscow has been implementing the National Labor Productivity Project since the beginning of 2022. During this time more than 150 capital companies have joined it. By the end of 2024, 441 enterprises of the city will be able to take part in it. _______________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
