At the Zelenograd site of MIET in the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow, the construction of one of the buildings of the future Innovation Center in the field of electronics is being completed. Enterprises will be able to produce even more products there, including as part of import substitution. This was announced by the head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of the city of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky. “An Innovation Center for design, engineering, technology transfer and training in the field of electronics is being created at the MIET site in the metropolitan SEZ. The construction is being carried out by the Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center (JSC ZITC), which will invest 1.5 billion rubles in the project. The concept provides for the construction of two buildings, which will primarily accommodate residents of the MIET site. Today, the construction of the first object, a five-story building with a total area of ??more than 5,000 square meters, is at the final stage,” Vladislav Ovchinsky said. Enterprises will be able to place their facilities in the Center as early as 2022, said the General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ Gennady Degtev. “The building will house scientific and production sites, where the teams of ZITC JSC and the PROTON Plant together with scientists from the MIET University will work. On the created areas, they will be able to work out and implement new technological solutions more quickly. The territory of the SEZ itself, where about 30 microelectronics companies operate, will also receive a powerful impetus for development. Let me remind you that last year the residents of the special economic zone of this industry increased the output of their products by 30 percent, increased supplies on the Russian market and abroad,” said Gennady Degtev. The foundation stone of the Innovation Center was laid in February 2021. In a year, the builders erected the first building, now the laying of engineering communications and interior decoration are underway. At the same time, the concept of landscaping is being developed. The project also provides for the construction of an 11-story administrative building with a total area of ??20.6 thousand square meters, where engineering work will be carried out and graduates of the MIET University will be trained. There will also be a technology transfer center and laboratories for project activities. Construction is already underway, the estimated completion date is October 2024.
