A resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow, Additive Engineering, has expanded its fleet of equipment for 3D printing and increased the production of dental products - molds for aligners. Now they will be produced by 30% more - more than 15 thousand pieces per month as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The SEZ resident, Additive Engineering Company, is one of the leaders in the 3D-technologies segment in the capital, its developments are adopted by Moscow industrialists, doctors, builders and representatives of other industries. The company prints about 200 thousand different products a year. By expanding production - the new 3D printer will become the 15th machine in its fleet of equipment - the enterprise will increase production for dental clinics in the capital. Now the monthly volume of production of molds for individual 3D measurements for photopolymer aligners will increase by 30% and will exceed 15 thousand pieces. Until 2029, the company's total investment in the development of the production of 3D products will be about 100 million rubles”, said the Head of the Department. Aligners are used in modern orthodontics, the blanks for them are unique. When printing them, one should bear in mind that each jaw shape is individual. The manufacturing is greatly simplified by 3D printing, which allows the production of products with complex geometries, saving time and materials, as well as reducing the number of components. The new 3D printer will be the company's fourth machine to use SLA technology, which will triple print speed and produce products with higher level of detail. “The Additive Engineering company, operating at the site in Pechatniki, has been a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow since 2020. In the acute period of the pandemic, the company promptly set up the production of valves for ventilators, printed on a 3D printer. The company is systematically expanding its production and in the next 10 years plans to occupy almost 5% of the Russian market of additive technologies”, revealed Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
