In the first half of 2021, residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ doubled their output

In the first half of 2021, residents of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow almost doubled their production volumes compared to the same period last year. They produced goods and services worth 10.2 billion rubles as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “In the first half of this year, residents of the special economic zone produced products worth 10.2 billion rubles, which is 1.7 times more than in the same period last year, and is twice the figure for the first half of 2019. The main volume - 56% - was provided by enterprises of the cluster of microelectronics, optics and robotics, which produced products worth 5.7 billion rubles. The three leaders included ICT enterprises - 2.1 billion rubles, as well as the pharmaceutical and medical cluster - 1.4 billion rubles”, said Vladimir Efimov. He also noted that in the first six months of this year, over 800 new jobs were created at the enterprises of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “The leaders in this figure were companies operating in the field of medical technology and pharmaceuticals, which provided 76% of jobs. Also, new employees were actively recruited by developers of information and telecommunication technologies and manufacturers of microelectronics”, specified Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow.
