In 2021, residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ saved more than 280 million rubles on taxes
In the first half of 2021, the amount of tax benefits received by residents of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow amounted to more than 280 million rubles, which is 1.7 times higher than the figure for the same period last year as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “The amount of tax benefits received by the residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow in the first six months of this year amounted to more than 280 million rubles. Most of them - almost 269 million rubles - fell on tax benefits to the city budget. Residents during this period saved 1.7 times more money than in the first six months of 2020. In total, since 2006, during the existence of the capital's SEZ, residents have saved more than 3.2 billion rubles on tax payments”, pointed out Vice-Mayor. For every ruble of tax benefits provided in the Moscow SEZ in the first half of 2021, there were about 40 rubles of investment. “In the first six months of 2021, companies of the capital's special economic zone paid taxes in the amount of more than 1.6 billion rubles, and for the entire period of operation of the SEZ, tax deductions exceeded 13 billion rubles”, said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Residents of the special economic zone of the capital enjoy a set of incentives enabling innovative projects with the greatest economic effect. Among them - preferential land lease, the ability to buy out a leased plot for 1 percent of the cadastral value after commissioning, and a reduction in the tax burden. In addition, customs privileges are provided in the Moscow SEZ - a free customs zone regime is in effect. “Companies save 17 percent on income tax in its regional part. Deductions to the federal budget for them are carried out at a preferential rate - two percent instead of the usual three. The entrepreneurs invest the saved money in new developments and expansion of production.
