In nine months of 2020, the volume of investments of residents of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow has exceeded seven billion rubles, which is almost one and a half times more than in the same period of 2019 revealed Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “In the first three quarters of 2020, residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow invested 7.4 billion rubles in the development of the capital's economy. This is 48 percent higher than in the first nine months of 2019, when the volume of investments amounted to 5 billion rubles. Most of the funds were deposited in the third quarter - 4.2 billion rubles. Now the total volume of all investments of residents over the entire existence of the SEZ has already exceeded 36 billion rubles”, said the Vice-Mayor. Manufacturers of electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and equipment invested the largest part this year; in total, they invested 6.5 billion rubles in three quarters pointed out Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The volume of investments by manufacturers of medicines, medical devices and equipment in the first nine months of 2020 amounted to 4 billion rubles. On the territory of the capital's SEZ, drugs are produced against cancer, neuropsychiatric disorders, cardiac disorders and others, as well as glucometers, pulse oximeters and aspirators, products for ostomy patients. Enterprises producing electronic products, optical devices and measuring instruments allocated about 2.5 billion rubles for development over the same period”, added Alexander Prokhorov. The resident status of SEZ Technopolis Moscow enables enterprises to save on taxes and other mandatory payments annually. The preferences received by the company open up access to duty-free imports, a zero rate of property and transport tax, as well as a preferential rate of profit. Favorable business conditions contribute to the systemic growth of companies' revenue. So, for three quarters of 2020 it exceeded 17 billion rubles informed Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “In the first nine months of this year, the residents' revenue amounted to 17.5 billion rubles, which is 20 percent more compared to the same period last year. Most of it falls on manufacturers of electronics and information and communication equipment - 14.5 billion rubles.
