In 2020, a resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow increased the export of lithium-ion batteries by 1.5 times

In 2020, a tenant of the special economic zone of Moscow, the ENSOL company increased exports volume of batteries to RUB 335 million, which is one and a half times more than a year earlier as informed by Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ENSOL rechargeable batteries are used in vehicles with an electric type of engine – mechanical loaders, reach trucks, stackers, electric pallet trucks, cleaning and other industrial equipment. “At the end of 2020, the company increased the production of lithium-ion batteries by 7% - up to one and a half thousand units per year, while about 30% of the volume was sent abroad. As compared to 2019, the company increased its export volume by one and a half times - up to 335 million rubles. The company's products are supplied to 13 countries, and the geography of supplies is constantly expanding. Last year the company entered a new market – Latvia”, said Gennady Degtev. In November last year, the company received a resident status of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, which enables to save on taxes and other mandatory payments. Among the preferences are the zero rate of property tax, reduced income tax and duty-free imports. This opened up even more growth opportunities for the company. The plans are to expand production areas in the special economic zone and double the output by 2024. The company has been operating on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow since 2017.
