High growth of high technologies: residents of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow increase the volume of investments
The volume of investments of companies - residents of the special economic zone SEZ Technopolis Moscow from January to September 2022 increased by more than two billion rubles. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “Investments of companies that are residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone for the first three quarters of 2022 amounted to 23.8 billion rubles. This is 2.1 billion rubles more than in the same period last year and three times more than in the same period in 2020, when investments exceeded 7.3 billion rubles. The total amount of funds that residents have allocated for the development of production for the entire period of work in the special economic zone of the capital amounted to more than 87.7 billion rubles,” said Vladimir Efimov. Now, 91 high-tech companies operate in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, which have the status of a resident, giving manufacturers the right to tax and customs preferences. These enterprises create radio equipment, medical equipment, and drugs, develop new materials, energy-efficient solutions and software. The microelectronics industry is in the lead - it is represented by 33 resident enterprises on the sites of the metropolitan SEZ. “The maximum volume of investments by residents of the special economic zone of the capital for the nine months of 2022 was recorded among microelectronics enterprises. The amount of their investments amounted to 14.7 billion rubles. This is almost twice as much as in the same period in 2021, when their investments amounted to almost 7.5 billion rubles,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department. To work on one of the SEZ Moscow sites in the brownfield format, an investor must invest at least 57.7 thousand rubles per square meter of leased space within five years. The minimum planned revenue should be from 268.1 thousand rubles per square meter for the second calendar year from the planned date of completion of the investment. The average salary at the future enterprise is also considered - it should not be lower than 76,501 rubles per month. Residents of the SEZ Moscow are exempted from paying land, property, and transport taxes for ten years, and the income tax rate for them is reduced to two percent. The goods and equipment they import are not subject to customs duties. “Since the beginning of 2022, ten more high-tech enterprises have received the status of a resident of the Moscow Special Economic Zone. The volume of investments declared by them will amount to almost ten billion rubles,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
