From medicines to microelectronics: what production will be launched in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ in 2022

At least ten investment projects in SEZ Technopolis Moscow will enter the production phase in 2022, said Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "Manufacturers of medicines, medical products, microelectronics, measuring equipment, rope transport systems are preparing to open at the sites of the special economic zone in Alabushevo and Pechatniki next year. The enterprises are at different stages of preparation for launch: some companies are just completing construction, others have already debugged production processes and are ready to reach the planned capacity. The volume of investors' investments in these projects will amount to 10.6 billion rubles," said Vice-Mayor. The new plants of SEZ of Moscow will become the center of attraction of qualified personnel. "Enterprises planning to open next year will create about one and a half thousand jobs. The most popular specialization will be the field of medical technologies. About 70 percent of new employees will be engaged in the production of pharmaceuticals and medical devices," said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The main territory for the production of new products in 2022 will be Pechatniki site, where seven residents are implementing projects in the brownfield format, said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. "Residents use the capabilities of ready-made premises with engineering infrastructure for faster start-up of production. This format requires less investment and allows both large companies and compact high-tech industries to work efficiently. At the same time, the preferential tax regime at all sites of the SEZ of Moscow makes it possible to invest the released funds in new developments.
