Today in Moscow summarized the results of the Best Industrial Design of Russia award in three nominations: Design Product, Design Prototype and Audience Award. Twenty projects won, 15 of which are Moscow-based, said Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. "Industrial design is another of the promising areas of industry. It allows to create convenient, functional and at the same time aesthetic goods, which gives companies the opportunity to attract more consumers, increase their competitiveness in the market. In Moscow, this direction is actively developing. More than 30 design studios and bureaus have already been registered in the city," said Vladimir Efimov. The award The Best Industrial Design of Russia was established in the summer of 2023 by the Moscow government with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation to popularize this direction, to stimulate its development, to identify achievements in this area. Over 500 companies from all over the country applied for participation in the contest. Within the framework of the award specialists evaluated furniture and interior items, electrical devices, vehicles, urban design objects, household chemicals, food packaging, high-tech design and footwear in the categories Design Product and Design Prototype. It was also possible to get the prize of audience sympathy according to the results of the popular vote, in which more than 100 thousand people participated. "The number of winners and prize winners included 15 Moscow industrial enterprises, whose developments were highly appreciated by experts and viewers. For example, the capital company Motorika presented a multifunctional prosthesis of hand and fingers with microprocessor control. It helps to perform daily tasks: to dress, cook, take care of oneself, ride a bicycle or scooter, and do sports. The resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow company Nex-T presented smart stops on solar panels", - said the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky. ELVIS-NeoTech has developed a social monitoring device for the elderly and people with disabilities. The device uses neural network algorithms, which help to timely notify relatives, social or emergency services about the occurrence of a dangerous situation threatening the life of a person. Lassard, a metropolitan manufacturer of laser equipment, presented an inexpensive and effective solution for small and medium-sized businesses - a laser cutting complex. It is used to create parts and components for cars, airplanes and public transportation, it is used in telecommunications, oil and gas complex and many other areas of industry where fast production in large volumes is especially important. The development can operate for more than 100,000 hours - that's 30 years of trouble-free service. The cutting process itself is customizable on the computer, the installed cabinet protection makes it possible not to harm the personnel. The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow is a territory with a special legal status, which has a favorable business regime for investors. More than 200 high-tech enterprises are localized here, of which about 90 have resident status, which allows them to receive significant benefits. The area of six sites (Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET, Angstrem, Rudnevo), where high-tech enterprises of SEZ are located, exceeds 260 hectares.
