The company, localized in SEZ Technopolis Moscow, has launched a new product with an anti-aging effect. This is one of the results of the company's long–term research work in the field of nutrition and biotechnology of food products, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. "The Academy-T company has been creating high-tech technologies for the production of new products of therapeutic, preventive, sports nutrition, biologically active additives for 25 years. Since 2016, the company has been operating on the site of "Printers" of the special economic zone of Moscow. Today, Akademiya-T has a modern production facility here that meets all international standards. Negotiations are currently underway on the supply of a new type of company's products to network retailers and market places," said Vladislav Ovchinsky. According to the company, the new product – MST – helps to improve brain metabolism, has anti-aging and antiviral properties. MCT (medium chain tryglycerides) is a fraction of medium—long chain fatty acids obtained from coconut, which is absorbed more efficiently than long-chain fats. MCT is obtained from coconut oil, because it contains up to 63% of medium-chain triglycerides. Usually it is an oily liquid that can be added to salads, coffee, pastries. The new product of the Academy-T received not an oil, but a powder form. Therefore, according to the developers, unlike oils, MCT does not require bile for assimilation. It immediately enters the liver with the bloodstream, where it is metabolized into ketone bodies, and especially into B-hydroxybutyrate (VNV). It is B-hydroxybutyrate that allows you to control hunger, reduces inflammation and protects against the harmful effects of increased salt intake. Today it is recognized as the most important anti-aging metabolite. VNV is present in the blood constantly, but in very small concentrations. This molecule is now being studied very intensively by scientists from different countries. The powder can be added to drinks or ready-made food, as well as used in cooking. "The combination of fundamental and applied research in the field of physical chemistry of high-molecular compounds, physiology of digestion and food technology allows Academy-T, operating on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, to create in-demand domestic medical nutrition products.
