For the last two years on the territory of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow about 180 thousand square meters of ready industrial areas, where various high-tech productions could place their production, have been put into operation. In 2023 it is planned to complete another 150 thousand square meters. This was reported by the General Director of SEZ Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev, within the framework of a round table, held at the stand of the capital city government at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "The demand for the industrial space on the part of the residents and the enterprises, which wish to localize their production on the territory of the special economic zone of the capital, is constantly growing. If in 2021 the growth of the area was 59,5 thousand square meters, then by the end of 2022 this figure has doubled to 120 thousand squares. By the end of 2023 the managing company of the SEZ plans to put into operation another 146.4 thousand square meters of space, some of which will be built in BTS format (build-to-suit), that is according to the requirements of a particular customer. This alternative construction method allows to implement the project in accordance with the requests and technical requirements of the companies", - said Gennady Degtev. Beginning in 2021, taking into account plans for the current year, 326 thousand square meters of industrial space will be introduced over three years. Now 200 companies have localized their production at six sites of the special economic zone, more than 90 of which are residents of the SEZ. This status gives them a number of tax benefits and preferences that allow them to increase production capacity and work on favorable terms. For example, they are exempt from paying property, land and transport taxes for 10 years. Thanks to this, companies can concentrate on the development of production and technology, research. Residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow work in six areas: microelectronics and optics, medical technology and pharma, software and equipment, high-tech, energy-efficient and nanotechnology.
