Almost 700 million rubles were saved by residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ in 2020

The total amount of tax benefits received by residents of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow in three quarters of 2020 amounted to 687 million rubles with 95% being regional part, revealed Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “Technopolis residents are exempt from property, land and transport tax. Also, companies save 17% on income tax in its regional part. Deductions to the federal budget for them are at a reduced rate of 2% instead of the usual 3%. For the first nine months of 2020, thanks to all tax preferences, SEZ residents were able to save 687 million rubles, of which 656 million rubles account for the regional part. Also, during this period, residents created 1,068 jobs - almost twice as much as in the same period in 2019”, the Vice-Mayor noticed. He added that in 9 months of 2020 the volume of taxes paid by residents to budgets of all levels and insurance premiums amounted to 4 billion rubles, and their total volume for the entire existence of the SEZ is 16.1 billion rubles. “The localization of new enterprises helped attract personnel. Most of the new hires this year were attracted by manufacturers of electronics and educational equipment. During this period, the number of employees of SEZ residents increased by 12% - up to 7 thousand people. As a result, the total amount of insurance payments for residents following the results of nine months amounted to more than 1 billion rubles”, shared Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The volume of customs payments from SEZ residents from January to September amounted to 214 million rubles said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “In three quarters of 2020, the volume of customs payments from SEZ residents exceeded last year's values by four percent and amounted to 214 million rubles. The total amount of customs duties exceeded 1 billion rubles.
