The enterprises will give the city about 900 workplaces, said Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "Among the companies that have completed the facilities construction of production sites in the SEZ of Moscow are representatives of the cluster of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, as well as clusters of high-tech industries, energy-efficient technologies, microelectronics, optics and robotics. The investment projects of these residents provide for total investments of more than 2.6 billion rubles and the creation of about 900 workplaces," said Vice-Mayor. Residents of the capital's special economic zone, who commissioned their facilities in 2021, have already fulfilled the plan for jobs by 50 percent, and the declared investment volumes exceeded by 13 percent. The companies will produce medicines, medical devices, measuring equipment and rope transport systems. "Two companies that specialize in printing and the production of cutting tools are already producing products, the rest are debugging technological processes and plan to reach full capacity in 2022. During the implementation of the projects, these residents have already created more than 390 workplaces and invested about three billion rubles in production on the territory of the special economic zone of Moscow," said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Manufacturers of innovative products appreciated the advantages of working in the SEZ of Moscow in the brownfield format, underlined Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. "Renting premises in industrial buildings, where there is already a connection to engineering communications and large-scale construction work from scratch is not required, allows you to start production in the shortest possible time. This year, not only residents, but also tenant companies have commissioned their facilities on the territory of the SEZ.
