A startup from the Technopolis Moscow SEZ has developed a high-precision gyroscope for drones

Research and Production Enterprise Gironav with the support of Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC), a resident of the capital's special economic zone Technopolis Moscow - - has developed a high-precision gyroscope for drones. This was announced by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow. The gyroscope is an integral part of the inertial system of the drone, which is necessary for its spatial orientation and stabilization. In addition, the device can be used to control the trajectory of unmanned vehicles in case the satellite navigation signal is lost. The new development is characterized by increased accuracy and reduced noise. "The new device is the result of joint work of Russian innovators and Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center, which is located in the Moscow SEZ. The nano-center helps start-up companies develop by participating in financing their projects and providing access to high-tech equipment. Also last year the center invested more than 200 million rubles in the development of its own industrial site, "- said Alexander Prokhorov. Zelenograd nanotechnology center together with SEZ Technopolis Moscow created a modern infrastructure to ensure the full cycle of new enterprises’ operation, said CEO of SEZ Gennady Degtev. "The nanocenter partially invested in the development of the gyroscope, and its technological complex will be used in the production of the new device. To date, Zelenograd nanocenter supports more than 30 start-ups in various industries, including robotics, industrial automation, energy and medicine,"  Gennady Degtev continued. The gyroscope created with the assistance of ZNTC is aimed at import substitution in the segment of microelectromechanical (MEMS) angular velocity sensors, added Dmitry Daniltsev, Head of the startup NPO Gironav. "MEMS angular velocity sensors are produced in Russia, but are often used within the production chains of large corporations, while not entering the free economy. The new development, on the contrary, is addressed to the open market. Implementation of this project will contribute to solving the problem of import substitution in the segment of high-precision MEMS angular velocity sensors, in which currently more than 50 percent is occupied by products of foreign manufacturers," the developer noted. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
