The robot, created in the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow, for the first time in Russia was successfully parachuted from a height of 500 meters as part of the EMERCOM exercises as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The robotic complex MRK-61 is designed to survey potentially dangerous locations - radiation and chemical contamination zones, forest fires and other hard-to-reach places. The most important area of its application can be landing in hard-to-reach areas of the Arctic, where the delivery of high-tech cargo to the ground by any other means than by aviation is impossible. Within the framework of the exercises held at the airfield of the sports and technical club “MAI Alferievo”, both the technology of landing the robot and the design of the parachute platform were worked out. Previously, similar tests have never been carried out in Russia”, said the Head of the Department. The complexes, created by SKTB PR, have more than once become the first robots in Russia to undergo extreme tests. “The special economic zone of the capital contributes to the development of robotics; it has many noteworthy developments on its account. For example this Spring, the robotic systems MRK-15, designed to replace a person in the neutralization of explosive objects, have successfully passed the most difficult climatic, vibration and shock tests organized by the state commission at the Pechatniki site of the special economic zone of the capital”, revealed Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. According to Ilya Laverychev, Deputy CEO of SKTB PR the weight of the MRK-61 robot is 800 kilograms, it is equipped with a manipulator and a front-end loader that allows moving loads weighing up to 100 kg. The task of the tests that took place was to check its ability to withstand the overloads that arise when landing from a height of 300 to 500 meters. “The exercise confirmed the reliability of the multipurpose parachute platform developed and manufactured by the Prom Composite company. It ensured the landing of the robot with a vertical speed of up to seven meters per second and a vertical overload upon landing of up to 12g. This allowed to gently deliver high-tech equipment from the height to the ground. In the future, such platforms can enable the delivery of robots to the most inaccessible areas, including the Arctic”, he added. “For more than 30 years SKTB PR has focused on the development, design and creation of robotic complexes and special-purpose systems. The devices manufactured by the company successfully replace a person when performing work with an increased risk, such as rescue and explosives operations, work in conditions of radiation and chemical contamination, military and anti-terrorist actions. Robotic systems of SKTB PR also operate at the Leningrad and Beloyarsk NPPs. The enterprise exports its products to the CIS countries and Southeast Asia. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
