A plant for the production of vaccines for animals was built in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow

At the Pechatniki site of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, the construction of a new plant of the Vetbiohim company has been completed, where several types of vaccines and related preparations for agricultural and domestic animals will be produced. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “Now the plant is carrying out commissioning. The full launch of the enterprise is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023. Its capacity will make it possible to annually produce several tens of millions of doses of vaccines, which will help provide the Russian market with demanded goods and will contribute to the development of import substitution in the field of veterinary medicine. The company has invested 1.6 billion rubles in production,” said Vladimir Efimov. The enterprise was designed and built in accordance with the modern international standard for pharmaceutical production, which includes strict requirements for the organization of production and quality control of medicines. Among them is the availability of qualified personnel and clean rooms, which are provided with controlled technological environments and equipped with modern automated equipment. “The area of the new enterprise exceeds 5.5 thousand square meters. About 200 highly qualified specialists will be able to find a job there,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department. The company Vetbiohim specializes in the production of immunoprophylactic drugs, diagnostics and treatment of infectious and parasitic diseases. Now the enterprise produces 37 vaccines for agricultural and small domestic animals, four sera and immunoglobulins, as well as 60 types of test systems for diagnosing diseases. “After the plant is launched, the list of high-tech enterprises at the Pechatniki site will be replenished with a new production in the field of veterinary medicine that implements its own developments.
