The first stage of a new pharmaceutical complex has been put into operation on the territory of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Investments of the project at this stage amounted to more than one billion rubles, said Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Land-property affairs. The enterprise will produce about 120 types of drugs for the treatment of neurological and oncological diseases. The declared volume of products is up to 100 million packages of various dosage forms annually. The SEZ resident plans to start manufacturing the first batches of drugs in August this year, and to bring production to full capacity in the second quarter of 2022. Investments in the project have already exceeded one billion rubles, and there will be also created 260 jobs at the enterprise, the Vice-Mayor said. Nowadays, at the site of the first stage of the complex, the main construction and installation work has been completed, preparations are underway for the installation of technological equipment and the commissioning. “At the first stage of construction, the complex covers 3.4 thousand square meters. After the second stage, the territory of the enterprise will increase to 5.5 thousand square meters, and the area of clean rooms will be 1.8 thousand square meters. The complex includes its own R&D center and a microbiological laboratory for the development of new drugs”, said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. A resident of the Moscow SEZ, OncoTarget, together with partner organizations, plans to consolidate efforts to create socially significant drugs that are not produced in Russia, including drugs for the treatment of cancer. Most of the drugs will be sent to the country's municipal medical institutions as part of state orders. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, resident status allows enterprises to save on taxes and other mandatory payments annually. “Companies get access to duty-free imports, a zero rate on property and transport, and a preferential rate on profits. The released funds of the enterprise, localised in SEZ Technopolis Moscow, are investing in the development of production", he added. OncoTarget is a research and production complex, organized according to the principle of a full cycle. The company has all the necessary competencies for the development and production of original and reproduced drugs for the treatment of oncological and other socially significant diseases.
