A new solution to increase oil production has been developed in SEZ Technopolis Moscow

The company in the capital has created a submersible unit with a linear valve motor and a plunger pump. It can be used to produce oil from old, low-margin wells or wells with complex structures. The company's pilot production facilities are located at the Pechatniki site of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow. This was announced by Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department. The new development will make it possible to operate low-profit wells with high pressures or curved boreholes, where the use of traditional rocking machines is not always possible. Operation of such wells may be economically unprofitable. The development will change this situation. Besides, owing to the new product there will be no need in the capital construction of the cumbersome constructions of the surface part - the pumping unit, explained Vladislav Ovchinsky. The new unit also has higher energy efficiency compared to alternative methods of developing such wells. Borets specialises in developing, manufacturing and servicing oil production equipment. It comprises a production unit, a service unit and the Oil Recovery Equipment Development Centre (ORDC). Here specialists develop, manufacture and test new, cutting-edge solutions for oil production, said Gennady Degtev, General Director of Technopolis Moscow SEZ. The main element of the new unit is a linear valve motor, which has a modular design. According to Andrei Sagalovsky, director of the Oilfield Equipment Development Centre, a special algorithm for controlling the linear motor optimises the operation of the entire unit by changing the speed of the piston when the pump fills up with liquid and displaces it.
