The new production complex of one of the leading enterprises in the development and manufacture of radioelectronic equipment and information computing systems – Proton plant – will be launched on the site of MIET special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow in early 2023. This was reported by Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital. The plant has been functioning since 1972. On October 1 it turned 50 years old. Initially, it was a pilot enterprise, where scientists and engineers of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (MIET) created samples of their scientific developments, and after testing the design and manufacturing technology were put into mass production. The plant has now launched mass production of over 140 types of high-tech products in electronics and information and control systems. «The new complex will occupy a five-story building of more than 5.5 thousand square meters. The building will house the scientific and production areas of the company. Among the customers of the plant are large companies such as Instrument Design Bureau, Kazan Helicopter Plant, Kurganmashzavod, Omsktransmash, NPO Bazalt, Vologda Optical and Mechanical Plant, All-Russian Research Institute of Transport Machine Building and others. The new production complex will increase the output of import-substituting products and stimulate the development of technological sovereignty of Russian enterprises across the country», – emphasized Vladislav Ovchinsky. He added that the additional space will allow the plant to develop and implement new technological solutions more quickly. Thus, the company will be able to offer customers a full range of services for production of innovative radioelectronic devices and complex computer equipment. As a result, all five territories of the Moscow SEZ, where more than 30 microelectronic companies are working today, will receive a powerful impetus to development. «I remind that in the first half of 2022 it belonged to microelectronic enterprises, which recorded the highest volume of investment in production - more than 11 billion rubles. This is almost 15 times more than the result of January - June 2021, when the figure exceeded 700 million rubles», – said General Director of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev. During these years Proton has managed not only to keep but also to build up the scientific, engineering and technical and highly qualified working personnel potential, capable of solving problems of high complexity. Now the plant employs doctors and candidates of technical sciences, including many graduates of MIET. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
