A NEW LINE OF CHIPS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY WAS PRESENTED BY A RESIDENT OF THE SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW

The resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, the largest Russian manufacturer and exporter of microelectronics, the Mikron plant presented its new products designed for import substitution in the sphere of auto electronics. This was announced by Gennady Degtev, CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “Mikron has a mass-produced and ready-to-delivery range for instrumentation blocks of 10 types of microcircuits. All of them have been mastered in serial production and are ready for use for localization of body electronics and engine control systems, driver assistance systems, and lighting devices. The advantages of the status of a resident and the convenience of the sites of the Moscow SEZ contribute to the development of cooperation with automotive industry enterprises and manufacturers of auto electronics systems and devices,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. The first product for the automotive industry, mastered by Mikron in mass production, was LED control chips in 2018. Nowadays the line of the plant for the automotive industry includes both standard mass chips and adapted to the requirements of specific automakers. “In addition, 32 types of microcircuits are ready for development and can be produced on our existing equipment, and in the near future another 40 types can be developed and put into production, which will allow us to multiply the localization of electronic components in electronic components for the automotive industry and bring it up to 80%”, - said Evgeny Kuzmin, Deputy General Director for Commercial Activities of Mikron JSC. The quality management system at Micron is certified in accordance with the requirements of the international standard in the sphere of "Design and production of integrated circuits in the form of chips on wafers" for the automotive industry.
