The bespoke parts manufacturing marketplace developed by the Drive Technology Research and Development Centre has been expanded to include an automated calculation and process development function. With the new service, it is possible to calculate the available options for manufacturing a product based on the technological capabilities and resources of the company. This was reported by Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital city. The intelligent production platform I5.Solutions, developed in the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow, automatically selects the best performers for the production of parts. For this purpose, a 3D model of the product has to be uploaded to the platform and technical requirements have to be assigned. In a few seconds, the system will automatically calculate manufacturing options for the parts, select the necessary equipment, and estimate the time and cost of manufacturing at different production facilities. At the same time the "smart" service will determine technological capabilities and level of workload of enterprises, and send orders only to those manufacturers who are able to fulfill them within the specified terms. The digital service is unparalleled in the Russian market and is intended to speed up the process of import substitution in the country. The marketplace makes it possible to find the manufacturer of the necessary parts and equipment in different regions of the country in the shortest possible time. Since the launch of the smart platform in 2022, users have ordered more than 1.4 thousand varieties of parts, with a total of almost 1.5 million pieces. Companies have connected 1.1 thousand production machines to the marketplace system to fulfil orders. Now users have access to functions for automation of calculations and development of technological processes, said Vladyslav Ovchinsky. The appearance of the platform was facilitated by a collaboration of companies whose production facilities are localised on the territory of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. The partner of the company Drivodnaya Technika in this project was the Moscow State Educational Complex, whose department is also located on the site of the capital's SEZ in Pechatniki. The service is intended, among other things, for teachers and students of technical departments at the Moscow State Educational Complex, as it promotes practice-oriented training and increases the value of graduates in the labour market. In general, the production marketplace, which takes into account more than 100 thousand different tooling equipment of Russian companies, promotes cooperation of various industries, regions of the country and companies - residents of Technopolis Moscow SEZ, - said Gennady Degtev, Director General of Technopolis Moscow SEZ. The I5.Solutions intelligent production platform was developed based on scientific principles established by the Russian engineering school of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and combines two scientific areas: intelligent systems and machine building technology. The I5.Solutions platform offers completely new opportunities for customers, manufacturing companies and suppliers.
