A new radio-frequency filter, developed by the BUTIS research and production enterprise, is being tested as part of the on-board antenna of a civil aviation aircraft. The new import-substituting chip will improve the reception quality of useful radio signals. This was announced by the head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of the city of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky. NPP BUTIS specializes in the production of one of the main components of any radio equipment - radio frequency filters based on surface acoustic waves. They are used almost everywhere - in smartphones, TVs, navigation, communication and control systems. Their main function is to pass the desired signal and cut off interference and other radio signals. “In 2022, the BUTIS company, localized on the territory of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, successfully mastered the technology for the manufacture of thermally compensated SAW filters using innovative piezoelectric substrates. Now such a filter is being tested as part of the onboard antenna of a passenger aircraft. In the future, these developments will find application in Russian civil aviation satellite navigation systems,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. The main feature of a thermally compensated filter is that it reacts less to temperature changes, therefore it gives a more stable connection and a clear radio signal. “Compared to conventional devices, such products have twice the thermal stability. This will increase the density of the used information channels, improve the processing capabilities of radio-frequency signals and the noise characteristics of the system, and increase the selectivity of radio-electronic equipment,” said Svetlana Dorofeeva, designer of NPP BUTIS. This year NPP BUTIS celebrates its 30th anniversary. Over the years, the staff of the enterprise has made a huge scientific and technical contribution to the development of radio electronics, offering SAW filters with ever-higher frequencies and miniature designs to innovative industries in our country. Employees of the company defended a number of candidate and doctoral dissertations, the company received numerous patents and copyright certificates. “The BUTIS company, localized in the territory of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, provides completely Russian production of surface acoustic filters that are used in modern navigation equipment and gadgets. The company has been operating at the Pechatniki site of the metropolitan SEZ since 2020. 60 highly qualified jobs have been created here,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
