A company from the Moscow SEZ was included in the list of backbone enterprises of the country

This status will allow the company to produce even more environmentally friendly plastic, including as part of import substitution. This was announced by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the Capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky. Ecopolis Corporation manages the only complex in Russia for the ecological disposal of waste electrical equipment. It includes three independent enterprises with different specializations, united by a unique raw material chain. As part of the built-in cycle, the company extracts and separates materials from end-of-life household and electronic equipment. This year, the corporation was included in the list of backbone industrial enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. “Becoming a backbone enterprise, Ecopolis will be able to take advantage of special measures to support the Government of the Russian Federation and implement new and improve existing projects. For example, the Ekoplast plant will produce even more recycled plastic, which today can replace foreign analogues. The productivity of one of its lines for the production of products for the housing and communal services sector is about 370 thousand units per year,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. According to the General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ Gennady Degtev, the plant's activities directly meet the ESG agenda, as the plant processes plastics into secondary plastic granules. Modern technologies used in the Ekoplast production in the Moscow SEZ and at other factories of the Ecopolis corporation allow up to 95 percent of the materials of the utilized equipment to be returned to the economic circulation as secondary raw materials. “For comparison, 60 percent is considered good in Europe,” he said. According to the Ecopolis corporation, its recycling complex plays an important role in building the Russian circular economy, as it is able to ensure the processing of all printed circuit board waste generated in Russia, and thereby save valuable resources for the economy, preventing them from falling into the "gray" market. “The production capacities of the processing complex, due to high technologies, allow us to maximize the resource potential of electronic scrap and return up to 95 percent of materials from recycled electronics to the economy. This is beneficial from an economic and environmental point of view. We are confident that the inclusion of the corporation in the list of backbone industrial enterprises indicates that the government of our country pays serious attention to sustainable development, reducing the amount of hazardous waste buried in landfills, and maximizing the rational use of valuable resources,” said the CEO of the Ecopolis Corporation < b>Igor Sidorov. Backbone enterprises are companies whose products or services are important for ensuring the life of a certain territory, industry, socio-economic system of the region. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has developed special support measures for such enterprises, for example, compensation of interest on loans. A set of measures has also been introduced to support industrial companies in the city. So, capital enterprises can compensate for part of the cost of paying interest on loans to replenish working capital, purchase equipment, implement investment programs and pay salaries. For these purposes, an additional 10 billion rubles were allocated to the Moscow Fund for the Support of Industry and Entrepreneurship by decision of the Mayor of Moscow. If an investor plans to build or reconstruct a production facility, then he can rent land for just one ruble per year. This will reduce the cost of creating jobs and will help to establish the production of the necessary products in a short time. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Email: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" on social networks, follow the main SEZ news in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and get all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
