Total amount of tax benefits received by the tenants of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow in 2019 amounted to 792 m RUB which is 42 per cent more than in 2018, informed Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations.

“Residents of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow are exempt from paying property tax, land and transport taxes. In addition, companies save 17% on income tax in its regional part. They are paid to the federal budget at a reduced rate of 2% instead of the usual 3%. In total, due to all the measures, residents of the SEZ were able to save almost 800 m RUB last year”, pointed out Vice-Mayor.

According to Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow in 2019 the number of employees in the resident companies of SEZ Technopolis Moscow was 6.2 thousand, 12% more than in 2018. “Last year, residents of Technopolis Moscow paid insurance premiums to off-budget funds at a reduced rate of 28% instead of 30%. As a result, the total amount of savings for companies in 2019 amounted to 220 m RUB”, underlined Alexander Prokhorov.

“Residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow also operate in the free customs zone, which allows the widespread use of foreign equipment and components. With a total amount of investments in equity of more than 6 bn RUB, almost 17 m RUB could remain in commerce due to customs benefits in 2019”, paid attention Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.

SEZ Technopolis Moscow includes five sites (Technopolis Moscow in Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Mikron, Angstrom, MIET) with a total area of 206.8 ha. The special economic zone of Moscow has both greenfield and brownfield territories. To date, more than 150 high-tech companies, residents and tenants, are located on the territory of Moscow SEZ.
