TENANTS OF SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW HAVE INCREASED INVESTMENTS IN MOSCOW ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT BY 7%
The volume of investments in the development of the
production made by resident companies of
the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow last year amounted to almost 6.6
billion rubles, which is 7 percent more compared to 2018, said Vladimir Efimov,
Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations.
“Most companies invested in microelectronics and information and
communication technologies, the total amount of their investments amounted to
more than 4.1 bn RUR. At the same time, the revenue of residents of the
capital's special economic zone last year also increased and amounted to more
than 22 bn RUR, which is 11 percent more than in 2018”, replied Vice-Mayor.
The conditions that the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow offers are
attracting more and more technology-innovative and industrial production
enterprises. We are talking about preferences in the tax regime, allowing to
reduce the burden to 47% per year, as well as free connection to the grid and a
free customs zone. “Resident status of the Technopolis Moscow in 2019 was
received by 24 companies - three times more than a year earlier”, shared Alexander
Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow.
The company, which decided to localize production on the territory of Technopolis
Moscow, can choose ready-to-use brownfield production facilities or build its
own factory on the greenfield sites located in Zelenograd. “Last year, the vast
majority of new residents joined the clusters of microelectronics, IT and
medicine. The localization of new industries contributes to the attraction of
personnel. In 2018, 338 jobs were created, in 2019 - 791 new jobs”, clarified Gennady
Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
