The delegation from Panama visited Moscow SEZ

Representatives of the leading universities of the country headed by Mr. Hector Montemayor got acquainted with the ecosystem of SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" and the resident companies .

Arslan Ayupov, Deputy Director for strategy of SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" told about SEZ territories in the capital and Zelenograd, engineering infrastructure, clean rooms, customs post, tax benefits and other services for science-intensive companies.

"We pay special attention to solving the problem of shortage of personnel. Our residents are in need of experts of a narrow profile. To eliminate the shortage of personnel we have a Youth Career High-tech Center and the Moscow State Educational Complex”, - said Arslan Ayupov. "Students of the capital's universities can do internships in resident companies."

The parties discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of training specialists in engineering areas. Advisor to the rector of the University of Panama, Mr. Basco Torres Dolion said: "The University of Panama and the University of Technology of the Republic of Panama are interested in partnership with universities and technologically advanced sites”.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the training and production site of the Moscow State Educational Complex. According to Igor Artemyev, the Director of the educational institution, it is planned to work together with foreign colleagues: "We are working in similar directions. Interest in the exchange of experience and knowledge is obvious, it is planned to sign a bilateral agreement at the WorldSkills Russia world Cup, which will be held in Kazan in the summer”.

Visiting the Moscow SEZ by representatives of Panama is a continuation of the visit of Juan Carlos Varel, the President of Panama. The head of the Republic got acquainted with the work of SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" in June last year. 


The SEZ Technopolis Moscow is a specialized territory for the development of industrial, technical and innovative activities of the capital. Currently, 58 high-tech industries are located in the SEZ, which receive a number of preferences from the city: tax breaks, ready engineering infrastructure, free customs regime, etc. SEZ residents are engaged in development and innovation in the field of high-tech production, including microelectronics, instrument making, information and telecommunication technologies, medical equipment. Residents have already made investments in the development of their industries in the amount of about 18.5 billion rubles and created more than 5 thousand jobs.

Since the transfer of authority to manage the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow to the Moscow Government (supervised by the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow), in September 2016, the pool of residents of the special economic zone was supplemented by 12 new residents, which totally invested 13 billion 605 million rubles. At the same time, as a result of project implementation, about 3 thousand new jobs will be created.
