The State Center for Metrological Support EMC (SCMS EMC) company from SEZ
Technopolis Moscow has launched a modern center for testing new equipment for
electromagnetic compatibility - the ability to work without creating
electromagnetic interference that is dangerous to other equipment or people. Gennady Degtev, CEO
of SEZ Technopolis Moscow,
announced this.
Electromagnetic compatibility testing, or EMC, is an
important step in the creation of any technology. EMC requirements are strictly
mandatory and strictly regulated by standards. If devices do not comply with
them, they must not be used and may cause interference and accidents.
SCMS EMC has
been located on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow since 2018. The
convenience of logistics and the modern infrastructure of the Pechatniki site
of Moscow SEZ helped the company to build and equip, in accordance with the
latest global trends, one of the largest EMC testing laboratories in Moscow,
with an area of almost a thousand square meters. It uses high-tech testing
and measuring equipment of domestic and foreign production, which is necessary
for electromagnetic testing of any complexity”, said Gennady Degtev, CEO
of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
The semi-anechoic test chamber in the new laboratory
of the EMC makes it possible to carry out full-cycle EMC measurements in
accordance with regulatory and technical documents. The chamber is equipped
with a shielded video surveillance system, an antenna mast and a removable test
table for testing technical equipment. These range from simple household appliances
to complex systems for the aerospace, automotive and military industries
weighing up to three tons.
The center also has a site for testing large-sized
technical equipment and a site for repair and operational diagnostics of
equipment that has not passed EMC tests. In addition, EMC specialists perform
related work to ensure testing, for example, equipment certification.
EMC also produces shielded and anechoic chambers,
carries out shielding of industrial and laboratory premises, their design,
installation and certification. The enterprise carries out diagnostics and
repairs, supply of equipment and hardware for satellite communications,
measuring systems and radio-electronic equipment, has its own site for the
development of certain types of test equipment.
EMC cooperates with developers of auto electronics,
power equipment, railway automation and other product manufacturers.
