A TENANT OF SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW IMPLEMENTES THE FIRST DIGITAL SYSTEM OF COMMERCIAL METERING
The first fully digital commercial metering system based on optical
measuring transformers appeared at the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant. Its
developer was the Profotech company, a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis
Moscow said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
The automated information and measurement system for commercial metering of
electricity allows to continuously monitor the use of energy resources. The
transition from analog to digital systems will reduce measurement errors and
provide significant economic benefits. The project has been fully completed by
Profotech - from its development, manufacturing and supply of digital optical
transformers, to the installation and commissioning of the entire set of
technical means.
“The Profotech company is the only Russian manufacturer of optical
measuring transformers, which are actively used in the country and supplied
abroad. A new digital system for commercial metering of electricity was
developed on their basis for the Krasnoyarsk aluminum plant, which is part of
the Rusal holding. Early estimates say the transition to a digital system will
allow the company to save about 30 million rubles annually due to more accurate
measurements and a decrease in energy losses”, said Gennady Degtev.
The new commercial accounting system has been fully tested and has received
an act of compliance, revealed the CEO of Profotech Oleg Rudakov.
“The company has carried out a
large-scale work on the reconstruction of the approaches to the substation of
the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant of six 220 kV lines. Together with partners,
digital electricity meters have been adapted for their joint operation with
optical transformers ensured successful certification tests required by the
regulations of the wholesale electricity market and allowed to obtain an act of
compliance with the commercial accounting system of the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant”,
shared Oleg Rudakov.
