RESIDENT OF SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW RELEASES A NEW SERIES OF POWER MODULES
A new series of power modules with an increased voltage limit of up to 4500 volts has been launched by a resident company SEZ Technopolis Moscow. JSC Angstrem is engaged in the production of import-substituting products as informed by Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
Power modules are semiconductor devices that control and distribute energy flows in a system. They are used in powerful electric motors, electric drives, batteries and power management - in electric vehicles, railways, shipping, industry, mining powertrains, and more.
“The resident of the capital’s SEZ is expanding the line of one of the types of import-substituting products: the modules are produced in five versions of cases in the voltage range from 650 to 4500 volts. The packages and the main element of the modules - IGBT crystals - were developed and manufactured by JSC Angstrem, the first in the country to master this technology. Fully domestic modules will make it possible to replace imported products and reduce risks in a strategically important area - the production of modern energy efficient power systems”, pointed out Gennady Degtev.
He added that power electronics is included in the List of Critical Technologies of the Russian Federation.
JSC Angstrem, one of the
oldest microelectronic enterprises in Russia, has been producing more than 2000
types of products for the military-industrial complex, space sector and
industry since 1963. At present, the enterprise annually develops dozens of new
types of products for the military-industrial complex and the civilian market.
Angstrem produces over one million microcircuits annually.
