A RESIDENT OF SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW TO INVEST 2.8 BLN RUBLES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ONE OF THE LARGEST DATE CENTERS IN RUSSIA
GDC ENERGY GROUP LLC, a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow is going toallocate about 2.8 billion Rubles for the development of a commercial data processing center (DPC) GreenBush DC by 2023. These investments will increase the capacity of the data center by almost 3.5 times.
GreenBush DC - a project of GDC ENERGYGRUPP LLC The data center leases server racks and servers for storing and processing information arrays, and also provides services for virtual data storage.
“The GreenBush DC data center located at Alabushevo site is in the top 15 largest data centers in Russia. The company has already allocated 3.7 billion Rubles to the development of the data center and by the end of 2023 plans to invest about 2.8 billion Rubles in the project. Now the SEZ resident supports the work of more than 200 companies. Among them are Russian microelectronics enterprises, cloud providers and representatives of the public sector. At the same time, the infrastructure of Alabushevo allows increasing volumes with virtually no restrictions", pointed out Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow.
Now the center has 660 information processing racks with a maximum load per rack - up to 20 kW, located in the computer rooms at Alabushevo site with a total area of 2 ha. By the end of 2023, the company plans to launch 2,280 racks.
“The commercial data center market is growing at a fast pace as a result of digitalization, which is gradually penetrating all industries. Resident status provides a company with significant economic advantages: for example, tax benefits on property, land and transport. This allows you to significantly reduce the cost of services and successfully compete in price with other market players", says Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
