Bashkortostan Delegation visits Moscow SEZ
Today Head of Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexander Sidyakin and Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rimma Boytsova visited SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
SEZ Technopolis Moscow CEO Igor Ishchenko and Deputy CEO for Investor Relations Anna Gorbatova introduced the visitors to the site’s infrastructure, services, and tax incentives for tenants, and told them about paln for further development.
"We see that the Republic of Bashkortostan, as one of the most developed Russian regions in the field of science and industry, possesses huge business potential. We are ready to share our experience in creating and developing industrial sites, - said Igor Ishchenko. - There are prospective tenants who cannot be localized in Moscow due to the specifics of their production. In terms of sanitary requirements, logistics, and infrastructure they can be localized in Bashkortostan. We are planning to work on this issue with our colleagues in the near future".
Rimma Boytsova noted that the Republic of Bashkortostan is interested in establishing a partner relationship with SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ‘Bashkortostan is one of the largest Russian regions in terms of area, work force, and industrial facilities. We have top technical universities here as well. We are ready to receive and implement the experience of Moscow SEZ.
The guests were then invited on a tour to Neophotonics Corporation, Nanotechnology Center of Composites, and Moscow State Education Complex site.
The SEZ Technopolis Moscow is a specialized territory for the development of industrial, technical and innovative activities of the capital. Currently, 63 high-tech industries are located in the SEZ, which receive a number of preferences from the city: tax breaks, ready engineering infrastructure, free customs regime, etc. SEZ residents are engaged in development and innovation in the field of high-tech production, including microelectronics, instrument making, information and telecommunication technologies, medical equipment. Residents have already made investments in the development of their industries in the amount of about 18.5 billion rubles and created more than 5 thousand jobs.
Since the transfer of authority to manage the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow to the Moscow Government (supervised by the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow), in September 2016, the pool of residents of the special economic zone was supplemented by 12 new residents, which totally invested 13 billion 605 million rubles. At the same time, as a result of project implementation, about 3 thousand new jobs will be created.
